qemu-guest-agent software package provides Guest-side qemu-system agent, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install qemu-guest-agent
qemu-guest-agent is installed in your system.
Make ensure the qemu-guest-agent package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep qemu-guest-agent *
You will get with qemu-guest-agent package name, version, architecture and description in a table
